4 out of 5 stars Much better than generic   October 11, 2008
OK, so I tried to save some $$ by getting the generic at my local store. Big mistake.
Went back to the doctor and he recommended this brand by name, so I ordered it here because it was cheaper than my drug store.

I am on my second box now and it has made a world of difference in how I feel and in my test results. I always thought generics were just the same as the name brands, but that is not the case for this supplement. I will be buying this brand again

5 out of 5 stars Worth the $$$   August 22, 2008
I get anemic easily with heavy periods. This product is a godsend. I can't take regular iron as it makes me nauseated and other typical adverse affects if you know what I mean. So I tried this and 1-2 days into treatment I feel energy again and I can tell I'm on the mend and I have absolutely no side affects taking this.

1 out of 5 stars Did not work for me!   February 12, 2008
This product did not work for me. I have tried various iron supplements and hoped this one would be different. It caused just as much upset as any of the others. I have had to cope with a persistant anemia using only iron rich foods. This product was expensive compared to ferrous sulfate tablets and was not worth it.

5 out of 5 stars I am pregnant and SlowFe works great for me!   December 26, 2007

I found out I had mild form of anemia and had to take iron supplement. Many other iron pills would make me constipated but SlowFe works great! Olga S.

4 out of 5 stars Fabulous product, HORRID packaging   July 12, 2007

This is the only iron product that many people--including me--can tolerate. It is substantially more expensive than many other iron preparations, but I don't mind paying extra to avoid the awful side effects associated with those. (AMAZON'S PRICE, however, was better than my local Wal-Mart or CVS.)

I DO MIND VERY MUCH that the manufacturer ignores customer reviews that talk about the terribly inconvenient packaging. Why should loyal customers who are willing to pay more for the product be subjected to trying to wrest these tablets from the packaging? Perhaps people with small children or mentally incompetent people in their households prefer such packaging, but why can't a plastic bottle be made available to the rest of us?

Thanks, Amazon, for friendly pricing. Boo-Hiss, Novartis, for your ongoing disregard of your customers' preferences.

Jayni Mosher.
